How we handle the information you share with us.

Who we are
VMNova is a self-hosted, web-based Hyper-V control panel built and maintained by Nashirnet. This policy covers the VMNova marketing website and waitlist at vmnova.com. For any privacy question, contact us at info@vmnova.com.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect the first name, last name and email address you enter.
To keep the site running and secure, our server also records standard technical data for each visit: your IP address, browser user-agent, the pages you view, and an approximate country derived from your IP address.
Why we collect it
We use your name and email for one purpose: to email you when VMNova version 1 is ready, and occasionally to share an invitation or product announcement. We rely on your consent — you actively asked to join and confirmed your email with a one-time code.
Technical visit data is used for basic, aggregate analytics (how many people visit, from where, and in which language) and to protect the site from spam and abuse. This rests on our legitimate interest in operating a secure service.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not run advertising or third-party tracking. We do not send marketing or unrelated messages while VMNova is in development.
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary with a small number of service providers that help us operate: an email provider to deliver your confirmation code and launch notice; Cloudflare Turnstile, if enabled, to tell humans from bots at sign-up; and an IP-geolocation lookup to show approximate visitor countries in aggregate. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Waitlist entries are kept until VMNova launches and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. Technical visit logs are short-lived and used only for operational analytics and security.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time. Email info@vmnova.com and we'll take care of it. You can also ask to be removed from the waitlist at any point, without giving a reason.
Cookies
The public site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a session cookie for the private admin console, which ordinary visitors never receive.
Security
Sign-ups are protected by one-time email verification (double opt-in). Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS and stored on infrastructure we control. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we do, we'll revise the effective date shown above. Significant changes affecting how we use your data will be communicated where appropriate.
